The Goal

Whether you are looking for a fancy new rig (that's nerd-speak for powerful computer), your aging desktop is a little slow, or your laptop with all the family photos on it has moved onto its next life, PC Monster is here for you!
The Owner
Hello there! 👋 My name is Ethan Schneider, owner of PC Monster Ltd. Co. I was born in the Green Bay, WI area in 1997 to two wonderful parents, and I now live in the Appleton area with my lovely wife, Morgan. By day, I work for Menasha Corporation in Neenah, WI as an IT Service Desk Analyst, where I assist our end-users with a wide variety of technological issues surrounding hardware, software, networking, security, and more. I have been working in that role since February of 2021.I have couple of accomplishments in the IT field underneath my belt, those being a CompTIA A+ certification that I received in March of 2023, and earning a Computer Support Specialist degree from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, or NWTC, in 2021.
The Builds
My journey into building PCs started in 2019 when I decided that I wanted to play games on my run-of-the-mill HP ENVY desktop that I had purchased for music production a couple of years prior. I wouldn’t have been able to play much without giving it a little extra juice, and thankfully, the computer had room inside of it for expansion. So, I hopped online and shopped around.Being somewhat strapped for cash at the time, I bought myself a brand new XFX Radeon RX 550 2GB graphics card for just under $100 and slapped that bad boy in there. It certainly was not the most impressive machine one had ever seen… but it was my machine, and I was proud of it.Now, after a handful of years, many upgrades, some long troubleshooting sessions, and a ton of dedication, I have built myself a magnificent machine comprised of some pretty powerful components (first 3 pictures). It is a BEAST, and I am very happy with it!On top of that, I've built a couple more machines that you will also see pictures of below. Thank you for checking them out!
